Building the Brand Behind an AI-Powered Agency
Paper Route was founded on a bold and culturally significant idea: to bring history into motion. As a progressive digital media company specializing in AI-driven video generation, Paper Route reconstructs historic moments where visual archives are limited—or where only audio recordings exist —transforming them into immersive, cinematic experiences. The brand design needed to balance innovation with responsibility, signalling cutting-edge technology while honouring the integrity and sincerity of the past.
Our strategy centred on duality: past and future, analogue and algorithm, record and reconstruction. The name “Paper Route” evokes journalism, storytelling, and the distribution of information—an intentional nod to traditional media—while the brand identity propels that legacy into the era of artificial intelligence. Visually, we developed a system that juxtaposes the iconography of a newspaper-filled wagon with contemporary typography.
The secondary visual language draws from archival aesthetics—ink textures, timestamp cues, subtle framing devices—while integrating digital gradients, light refractions, and motion-based graphic elements that suggest rendering, data processing, and AI generation. The logo mark itself was designed to feel structured and authoritative, with subtle dynamic cues that imply transformation and emergence, symbolizing history being brought to life frame by frame.
The black and white colour palette pays homage to the early days of newsprint. The balance of emotional cues and design simplicity ensures that the brand feels both respectful of historical subject matter and confident in its forward-thinking capabilities.
